Pang Shun Pen, Business Analyst

Pang Shun Pen is the owner and director of SP Asia-Euro Capital Pte. Limited. The company is involved in fund management and corporate advisory services to accredited investors.

Shun Pen has been in the investment business for over 27 years.

Shun Pen was a Partner of HSZ Group for 12 years before setting up his own company.

HSZ Group (see website www.hszgroup.com) is an independent investment management company present in Hong Kong, Singapore and Zurich and domiciled in the British Virgin Islands. In addition to the partners who own over 70 percent, shareholders of HSZ Group include HSBC Guyerzeller and Ergo Trust. He was responsible for its operations in Singapore, in particular for the fund management, corporate finance and trade executions of the Asian equity portfolios.

From 1994 to 1999, Shun Pen was a Director of GZB Management Sendirian Berhad, Kuala Lumpur, an exclusive consultancy to HSBC Guyerzeller. He is based in Kuala Lumpur and responsible for the Strategic Equities group's research and investment office for Emerging Asia.

From 1980 to 1994, Shun Pen was with Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB) in Kuala Lumpur. In his last position he was Assistant General Manager responsible for PNB's international fund management unit. He was a Director of IGB Corporation Berhad, a property development company, the East Asiatic Corporation Berhad, a trading company, and Leader Universal Berhad, a cable manufacturing company.

Born in 1956, Shun Pen attended the Tunku Abdul Rahman College from 1976 to 1978. In 1984, he became an Associate of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants. He is a Registered Accountant with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants since 1988. In 1992 he became a Fellow of the Chartered Management Accountants United Kingdom. In 1993 he received a certificate in International Management from Insead, Fontainebleau.
